Application

This policy applies to all MutualCore employees, volunteers, contractors, and any individuals who interact with the public or third parties on behalf of MutualCore.

Policy Statement

MutualCore strives to provide an accessible environment for all individuals by identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to accessibility. We are committed to integrating accessibility into our daily operations and long-term planning.

Customer Service Standard

MutualCore will:

  • Communicate with people with disabilities in ways that consider their needs.
  • Welcome assistive devices, service animals, and support persons.
  • Provide notice in the event of a temporary disruption to services or facilities used by people with disabilities.
  • Offer alternate formats and communication supports upon request.

Information and Communications Standard

MutualCore will:

  • Ensure that publicly available information is accessible upon request.
  • Strive to make our website and web content conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards.
  • Provide accessible formats and communication supports in a timely manner.

Employment Standard

MutualCore will:

  • Notify employees and the public about the availability of accommodation during recruitment.
  • Consult with employees to provide suitable workplace accommodations.
  • Develop individualized emergency response plans for employees with disabilities.

Training

MutualCore will provide training to:

  • All employees, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Individuals involved in developing policies or providing goods, services, or facilities. Training will cover the AODA, the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities, and MutualCore's accessibility policies.

Feedback Process

MutualCore welcomes feedback on how we provide accessible services. Feedback can be submitted:

  • By email, phone, or in writing.
  • In accessible formats upon request. We will respond to feedback in a manner that respects the individual's communication needs.

Modifications to This Policy

This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as needed to ensure ongoing compliance with AODA requirements and best practices.
